I don’t think anyone has much more to say about 2020. It’s been a hard year with everyone bound in, the frightening number of deaths from the COVID19 virus in just 6 months, me Zooming on everything from chair yoga, my critique group to launching my latest novel virtually from my favorite indie bookstore. And oh, weird weather. I’m getting pounding now here in the NW with high winds and heavy rain. Maybe this is why I have been so quiet. 2020 sucks. I’m changing all that. I’m picking myself up and getting back in the writing game. I’m also getting help for the website to make it more manageable for me and interesting for you, my followers.
There is good news
Surprisingly, it’s been a very good year for my #WWII in #Norway novels, The Jøssing Affair and its sequel, The Quisling Factor. 
Maybe it’s the history behind it when Norway was overrun by the German war machine on April 9, 1940. Maybe it’s struck a chord of warning. Whatever it is, The Jøssing Affair is getting increased attention.
In late May, I presented a talk on Zoom for the Sons of Norway Lodge in D.C. Ten months earlier, I had given an in-person talk at their lodge in Fairfax, VA. To be invited back to be their first ever virtual presenter was an honor and an opportunity. By the time, I launched The Quisling Factor on July 30, The Jøssing Affair, was featured on A Novel Talk Podcast and was a finalist for the 2020 Military Writers Society of America (I since then won a silver medal on September 19). This new attention to the novel spurred me to get it into audio book form.
So, I asked the fabulous Chris Humphreys if he would be my narrator. (He calls himself Actor. Author. Swordsman, but he doesn’t often mention that his mother was in the Norwegian Resistance) He said yes!
