Launch Day for @TobyNeal’s New @kindleworlds

I think Mrs. Hale would have thought a launch had to do with sail ships, but one hundred and fifty-eight years later, after weeks of non-stop writing, it’s Launch Day for my first mystery novella, Saddle Road, and the works of other authors in the new #LeiCrimeKW. So excited for my writerly friend Toby Neal whose mysteries set in Hawaii prompted Amazon to give Toby her own Lei Crime Series on Kindle World. Such a pleasure to work with her beloved characters and write about a place that will always be dear in my heart– Hawaii. Mahalo nui loa, Toby, for this amazing invitation to be part of your launch. And best wishes for continued success.

Saddle Road

Here’s what it’s about:

There’s more to Hawaii than pretty beaches.

A body shows up in Maui’s Kahului Harbor. It looks like just another bad day for some poor soulSaddle Road cover in paradise, until Detective Lei Texeira and Lieutenant Michael Stevens identify the victim as a well-respected veteran from Washington State. Soon, they find themselves in the middle of a charity scam where someone’s skimming money meant for vets with PTSD. The clues lead Lei and Stevens to an exotic animal hunting club on the Big Island where they encounter the killer on the high lava deserts of Saddle Road.
